My 2005 Practice

My Practice with the Tape Deck Player

Going back to 2005 when i done my practice with the Tape Deck player. Introducing the A/V cable. I used it with the tape deck player and my Compaq computer. This system was upgraded to Windows 98. I connect the A/V cable on back of the Tape Deck Player in player side and the tip to the microphone. I open up the sound recorder and the volume control. For the Volume Control, switch to recording control. Select Microphone and bring the range a little bit to hear after done recording. When i'm ready i click on record in the sound recorder and test it if it works. When it is tested, the sound started to work, because like the headphone it has to be connect to a certain side. I test couple if clips from the stereo and saved them too. Now, i'm ready to go on with my own business. I haven't started making longer clips until about 1/2 or 1 year later. When I make my sound clips, then i save in *.wav but converting to *.mp3, because it seem like is almost like windows 3.11 in the windows 98 version. I saved it anyway, and add more to share it with anybody.

I know people don't like the old device like the Tape Deck Player but all are for the audio cassette tape. I'm trying to make to busy from you can other to play like the shortcut. But 1st if you still got the audio cassette tapes, Tape Player and the Mp3 Cable. If you don't have the Mp3 cable, you should the A/V cable, but you buy like the audio splitter. If you Tape deck player, then it is very simple, plug in the A/V cable on the playback button of the tape deck player. Then use the tip side of the A/V cable on the table, but move the printer off the table and put the tape deck player on the table and plug the other side to the microphone on the front or back of the computer. Now, this is going to work very good.
Here are the materials to bring at Home and/or buy
  • Tape Deck Player
  • Stereo: Is just exactly like the tape deck player when is the A/V cable connection (optional)
  • A/V cable
  • Audio Tapes
  • Headphone or speakerphone
Make sure that your outlets are plug in so it can work. Again connect the tape deck player to the computer and plug it on microphone (pink). Plug in your headphone on speakerphone (light green) so you can hear it. Also, rewind your audio tapes to the beginning in the tape player.

Open up the sound recorder and test it out and play any cassette tape on the tape player and press the record on the sound recorder and test it if it work. If it doesn't work, open up the volume control. After opening that up, go in the file and go to properties. Then switch from volume control to recording control. On the recording control, select Microphone. Go a little up on the scale, not so up. Now, this is going to work, right. When it works, you are good to go.
First, test your audio tape with your sound recorder, first. Press play on your tape deck player and press the record on the sound recording software. The sound recorder goes up to 60 seconds. Is best to test it so, the sound can be heard. If it works, then save it on the computer.

If you want to go advance then find any audio recording software like either Jet audio or Audacity. I recommend you , Audacity. Audacity is the best audio recording software to record from your device. Download this one and also download the Lame Mp3 inside the audacity. When you are done these 2 then be ready to play then on your tape. Is just like sound recorder but you go for your own business.
If you play both side of your tape then you have to pause when it ends on each side of your audio tape on the audio recorder software (audacity) and back to record after turning over the tape. When you finish you can save each side or both sides of your tapes.
The best operating system that works when is sound/audio recorder are windows 2000 and windows xp. If you are using windows vista or windows 7 then i think you record it through line-ins.

My Own Practice

Nobody may know how my practice was going back between 2001 and 2002. I done my first practice in my logic audio ideas. The first one on top may not be exactly the one i had, but i little new and the brand is Optimus Boom Box. I had this before, but later i thought about and it didn't work. But the these ideas can work on any operating systems in Microsoft and Macintosh. The computer was on Windows 3.11, the early audio recorder software is Acerrack. Acerrack was one of the software use to connect from your stereo, tape player, and more. I had the Boom Box and the L/R cable. I tried it and it didn't work. I select it on Aux, microphone, line in, and more in the recording side. I hold one of the L/R cable into the microphone after leaving the sound on to test out. The bottom line why it don't work because the L/R cable is the wrong thing to connect. In 2003, i tried it again in the Compaq Computer but is like the same thing. If i had the Macintosh with the L/R connect before then is going to be working. But i'm so stuck with Microsoft. I really quit and never tried it again with the same ideas with the L/R cable.
Couple of Years Later
2005, I come back to my logic audio ideas. Introducing the A/V cable. I used the my same stereo and the same Compaq computer but is upgraded to Windows 98. I connect the Yellow and black wire to the stereo at the back and the tip to the microphone.

My practice to audio recordings

After my practice to sound recording in 2005, i had another idea and this idea is now audio recording in 2006. When i search and found a good audio recording software, i download up a new audio recorder software. It is "super audio recorder". This software is used to record clips from your stereo, LP, tape player and more. The 1st time i recorded a clip for more than 1 minute and didn't let me save it on a Mp3 because my computer didn't seen that it take Mp3 clips. I have to download to audio converter. The audio converter is used to convert from *.wav to *.mp3 or *.wma. The longest clips and record the more size like 50MB and more and going to go. I saved it all anyway at *.wav and then convert them to *.Mp3. The Mp3 is less lower as like 2MB. I like it. If you want to go in *.wav, then it will take a long time to save it as of 40MB or more and then you have to convert it to mp3 if you want to.

Reminder to users, anywhere

I will like to remind you it that , i'm doing this for you all, because various clips, lecturing and others may be missed. But, if you have any audio clips, then you can help others who don't know anything like the classes you're taking.

Do you all the music is there? i don't think so. Because the songs I heard may be lost. No classmates, students and individuals may not know who made the song, and what title of the songs. It doesn't matter if is county, adult contemporary, and other genres. So, help us because sound clips are being lost.
Please pay attention.
Still, do not throw your audio tapes and a tape player and/or recorded away because i am going to give you my ideas how to test it and save it on your computer. But, here are the materials to buy and keep it.
  • Tape Player/Tape Deck Player
  • Mp3 Cable
  • Audio Splitter/ Audio attacher
  • A/V (yellow/white) cable
  • Headphone or Speaker
  • Audio Tapes
If you lazy to play, but you want new (live) recording on your radio. Here are the material to be added
  • Radio or Stereo
  • Earphone Jack
  • L/R Audio cable
Make sure your computer is still working good

Audio Tapes

If your audio tapes are not blank, please rewind any of them and wait until is to the beginning. Also, if you have your mp3 cable, Mp3 cable is so easy to connect to your computer. Only one cable to connect on any devices. If you don't have any mp3 cable, but you have you a/v cable and your audio attacher, attach the a/v audio cable and the audio attacher (splitter) together. It is the same like mp3 cable connection. Plug it to microphone on the front or the back of the computer, when the rewinding of the tape player is done.

Stereo/Radio

In your stereo/radio, plug it in to the outlet. Make sure it is working. Connect your stereo with your L/R audio jack and audio connector together. Plug the audio cable on the microphone jack on the back of the computer. Make sure the stereo or radio is on so your hear the sound. Make sure the microphone is selected or UN-plug in the volume control, inside properties. Just the sound recording software, test it and little bit on the audio recorder.

Test it on your Audio Recorder

Press the play button on your tape player and then press the record on the audio recorder if the sound in your audio tape comes out. This software is unlimited to test it out on your audio tape. Press the stop button when you are finish recording from your radio and/or your audio tape in the tape player. If your clips is working good save it on the computer.

Add More Clips to make it own audio mix show/mix tape/inter show

If you to add more, then pause it on your audio recorder to switch to another audio tape. UN-pause to record more and play the next one. Keep on the same procedure and then it will become interesting. When you are really done, is best to same it and make sure you have it.

MY PRACTICE IS MY AUDIO TECHINQUES

Let me give you history, how i created this.

Nobody may know how my practice was going back between 2001 and 2002. I did my first practice in my logic audio ideas. The first one on top may not be exactly the one I had, but I little new and the brand is Optimus Boom Box. I had this before, but later I thought about and it didn't work. But these ideas can work on any operating systems in Microsoft and Macintosh. The computer was on Windows 3.11, the early audio recorder software is Acer rack. Acer rack was one of the software uses to connect from your stereo, tape player, and more. In 2003, I tried it again in the Compaq Computer but like the same thing. If I had the Macintosh with the L/R connect before then is going to be working. But I’m so stuck with Microsoft. I really quit and never tried it again with the same ideas with the L/R cable. By 2005, I come back to my logic audio ideas. Introducing the A/V cable. I used the same stereo and the same Compaq computer but am upgraded to Windows 98. I connect the Yellow and black wire to the stereo at the back and the tip to the microphone. I open up the sound recorder and the volume control. For the Volume Control, switch to recording control. Select Microphone and bring the range a little bit to hear after done recording. When I’m ready I click on record in the sound recorder and test it if it works. When it is tested, the sound started to work, because like the headphone it has to be connecting to a certain side.  I test couple if clips from the stereo and saved them too. Now, I’m ready to go on with my own business. In September or October of 2005, I only had my portable tape player to test it out. My ideas are to connect to use the A/V cable is connect it to the computer. But, guess with my missing, audio splitter. When I left the house and go to the store, I was looking at some new connection to be connect to the computer. I found one; it is called the Audio Splitter. The audio splitter can be used for A/V cable and L/R cable. For the A/V cable is simple. Connect it to the portable tape player with your splitter. For the L/R cable, you can't connect it with your tape player, but you can use it with your stereo receiver, instead. That's the new ideas. Try it is going to be fun for yourself and others. Within the little that I show you, I download up new audio recorder software. It is "super audio recorder". This software is used to record clips from your stereo, LP, tape player and more. The 1st time I recorded a clip for more than 1 minute and didn't let me save it on an Mp3 because my computer didn't see that it takes Mp3 clips. I have to download to audio converter. The audio converter is used to convert from *.wav to *.mp3 or *.wma. The longest clips and record the more size like 50MB and more and going to go. I saved it all anyway at *.wav and then convert them to *.Mp3. The Mp3 is less low as like 2MB. I like it.

Users, don’t think I’m copy other people’s ideas, because I’m not. My ideas is to bring new ideas like playing your whole set of clips from your cassette audio tapes in your tape players. Sound clips were good from the 1st start in sound recorder. Audio recorder came a little bit after sound recorder. MP3’s are all the same in the audio recorder but WAV (sound clip) equal to sound recorder. Mp3 is more durable than WAV, because in WAV when your recorder long like 10 minutes then it will take a very long time to save it on the computer as it about 100MB or so. 10 MB may equal about 10 minutes on Mp3. WMA (windows media audio) is another way like Mp3 but is not going to play on all CD/Mp3 portable audio players.
